Is there a free trial?

Yes — every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Add your card, get full access to your plan immediately, and you won't be charged until day 8. Cancel anytime before then and you pay nothing. One note: à-la-carte documents and notices on Starter and Landlord ($7.99 / $12.99) are separate one-time purchases — those are charged normally if you use them during the trial.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No hoops, no phone calls, no "please stay" pop-ups. Cancel directly from your account dashboard and your access continues through the end of your current billing period. Simple as that.

What's the difference between monthly and annual?

Accepted Answer

Monthly gives you flexibility — pay as you go, cancel whenever. Annual saves you money — you pay upfront for the full year at a lower effective rate. If you're already sold on Dweller IQ, annual is the smarter spend. If you're still kicking the tires, start monthly.

What happens if I want a refund?

Your 7-day free trial is the refund window, flipped: you try everything first and only pay if you stay. Cancel before the trial ends and you're never charged. Once a subscription payment goes through, it's non-refundable — and one-time document purchases are final once the document is generated. If a charge ever looks wrong, contact us and we'll sort it out.

Does the price ever go up?

We reserve the right to adjust pricing over time, but we'll always give you advance notice before any change hits your card. No surprise charges. Ever.

What exactly do I get access to with my subscription?

It depends on your plan. Landlord and Pro give you unlimited questions — no caps, no throttling, any time of day. Starter includes 10 questions a month. Notices and documents are available on every plan — pay per item on Starter and Landlord, or included free and unlimited on Pro.

Is this worth it if I only have one or two units?

Honestly? Especially if you only have one or two units. Small landlords in Chicago have the same legal obligations as large ones — but none of the infrastructure to back them up. One costly mistake on a single unit hits a lot harder when you're not running a portfolio. Dweller IQ pays for itself the first time it keeps you out of trouble.

What's the difference between the three plans?

Starter ($19/mo) covers the occasional question — 10 AI answers a month. Landlord ($39/mo) is our most popular plan: unlimited answers, anytime. Pro ($99/mo) adds every notice and document included and unlimited, a multi-property dashboard, a compliance calendar with deadline alerts, and law-change alerts. Switch plans or cancel anytime.

Do notices and documents cost extra?

On Starter and Landlord, documents are à la carte — $7.99 for compliance forms and disclosures, $12.99 for drafted notices and letters — so you only pay when you need one. On Pro, every notice and document is included and unlimited (fair-use 50 per month). The Move-In / Move-Out checklist is free on every plan.
